Do I need a massage?

There are three questions to ask yourself when deciding if you need a massage.

“Do I have pain?” This may seem obvious however most people tend to ignore pain in order to get through their day. In order to examine your body for pain find a quiet place where you can be alone. Find a comfortable seated position and concentrate on deep breathing. Start at your toes and address each body part separately and inwardly ask yourself how that part feels right now. Do this exercise all the way up your body to pin point the areas where you have the most pain.

“Does the stress in my life distract me from what makes me truly happy?” A lot of us are very successful at going through the motions of life with no concern for our own happiness. Have a moment with yourself to see if this may be happening to you. Think about the things you wanted as a child and realize if those simple joys are part of your life now.

“Do I have a condition that doctors have failed to take care of?” It is important to realize that massage can help with anything from sinus congestion, pregnancy pains, swelling, your child’s colic, and many other ailments. If you answered yes to any of these questions you need a massage. Letting any one of these problems go will only lead to accumulated problems in the future, and in turn, will take more time and money to heal.
